- LCG Thanksgiving Dinner| This year, instead of our traditional all-church Thanksgiving dinner, we’re inviting every LCG to host their own potluck-style Thanksgiving gathering! Each group will choose a date in November to come together for food, fellowship, and gratitude. It’s a beautiful opportunity to connect, build community, and celebrate all that God has done this year. Not part of an LCG yet? This is the perfect time to get connected! Email the church office at [nvfoffice@nvfms.org] to get connected to a group.
Covered in Love Coat Drive 🌟McLaurin Elementary School is adopted by NVF. One of the ways we will plan to bless them is to come together to spread warmth and love this season! We’re excited to announce a Coat Drive Competition between our Life Care Groups (LCGs) to help meet the needs of the students at McLaurin Elementary. Until November 23rd, each LCG can donate new or gently used coats to bless families in need. But that’s not all! LCGs can earn extra points for donating additional much-needed items, including underwear, socks, pants (gender neutral), t-shirts, and disinfectant wipes. All donations can be placed in the church garage in the labeled bins for your Life Care Group (see leader for placement). (Size details are below.) We’ll tally up all donations to see which LCG comes out on top! Let’s show our love in action and ensure every family is Covered in Love this season. Youth Small: 4 boys and 2 girls
Youth Medium: 5 boys and 6 girls
Youth Large: 10 boys and 7 girls
Adult Small: 2 boys and 4 girls
Adult Medium: 3 boys and 3 girls
Adult Large: 1 boy and 1 girl
Extra Points for socks and pull-on pants (gender neutral -- red, blue, black, khaki, etc.)
McLaurin Christmas Family Sponsorship 🎁 McLaurin Elementary School is adopted by NVF. One of the ways we bless them is to provide Christmas gifts for children/families that are less fortunate. It's time again for this outreach initiative, and we are looking forward to supporting them and being a blessing to them. Details will be coming soon, but we are asking members and friends to begin preparing your hearts to adopt a child/children this year. Together, we can make Christmas brighter for those in need. The deadline for the gift donation will be Sunday, December 14th. All gifts will be delivered to McLaurin before Christmas break. Again, details will be coming soon! Thanks for partnering with NVF as we continue to make an impact in our community for the Kingdom of God.
J.O.Y ("Just Older Youth") members, the next J.O.Y luncheon will be held Tuesday, December 9th, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. This luncheon will be held at the church and will be an opportunity for you to bring your favorite or specialty dish! Come prepared to enjoy a meal, have some good fellowship, and have an encouraging word. Our J.O.Y. Members are those who are 65 or older, and spouses (even if under 65) are welcome! Christmas Program and Arts Showcase | Save the date for Saturday, December 13th at 6:00 pm for NVF’s Christmas Program Arts Showcase where NVF Kids, Youth and Young Adults will showcase their gifts, talents, and abilities via the arts. Our students would love to have you there to encourage and support them. We look forward to seeing you there.
