God has them!
God loves you and wants you to know Him so that He can fill you with peace and give you real life – forever. John 10:10 - ‘The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness. (NLT)
God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice.
We are born into a sinful world. Sin always separates man from God. Since the beginning of time, mankind has disobeyed God and chosen his own way. We still make this choice today. When we choose sin, it results in our separation from God and ends in misery.
Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (NIV)
Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(NLT)
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He is the only one who can bring us back to God. He died on the cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people. The purpose for Christ coming to the earth was to redeem mankind.
1 Timothy 2:5 - “For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus.” (NLT)
Romans 5:8 - “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. “ (NLT)
We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and give God permission to work in our lives. The Bible says that if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death; you are accepted as a child of God and saved from the penalty of your sins. Giving our lives to Christ is a way to know God and find peace again. (Romans 10:9-10)
Admit that you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
Confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him and allow Him to give your life direction.
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the grave to give me life. I know that He is the only way that You have given for me to be saved. I want to stop disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive my sins and help me start to live my life in a way that pleases You. I give you permission to do all that You know is best for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
The Bible states that:
Ephesians 2:8-9 - “God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (NLT)
John 1:12-13 - “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn! This is not a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan—this rebirth comes from God.” (NLT)
As you draw close to the Lord, He will teach you His ways and strengthen you to live the right life. Here are some practical steps that will help you with your walk with the Lord.
1. Pray
It is important to spend time in prayer every day. Just as your natural body needs to be fed, your spiritual body needs to be fed in order to grow. As a child of God you have the right to go to Him with your intimate thoughts, desires and fears. Prayer is a form of communication with your Heavenly Father. Use it often!
2. Read the Bible
The Bible is a powerful tool for man to learn about the character of God. God inspired people to write it and the many stories in the Bible will help you learn God’s heart and His desire for mankind. As you read the Bible, ask the Lord to show you how to apply its principles to your life. A good place to start is the Gospel of John and the book of Ephesians. Use an easy to read modern translation to help you understand. We recommend the New Living Translation or the New International Version.
Suggested Beginning Reading:
- The Gospel of John
- Ephesians
- 1 John
Verses to Memorize:
2 Corinthians 5:17 - What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! (NLT)
1 John 5:13 - “I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.” (NLT)
3. Fellowship
When you give your life to Christ, you become a vital part of God’s family, the Church. As you get involved in a local church, you will receive strength and encouragement from other believers. This is why being a part of a church is so important. The Bible also says that we shouldn’t neglect meeting together with other believers, so we encourage you to stay in regular attendance at a local Church. (Hebrews 10:25) If you need additional prayer or encouragement, contact the church for help. New Vision Fellowship (601) 591-1267.
Psalms
Begin with the Psalm that corresponds with the date*. For example, on the 15th of the month, read Psalm 15. Then, add 30 to that number to allocate the next Psalm that you will read. On the 15th, it will be Psalm 45. Continue adding 30 to identify the next Psalm for that days reading, until you have read five Psalms. So on the 15th of the month, you will read Psalms 15, 45, 75, 105, and 135.

Proverbs
Read the chapter that matches the date*. For example, on the 15th of the month, read Proverbs 15.
* This reading schedule divides Psalms into 30 readings and Proverbs into 31 readings. Since the months differ in length (28, 29, 30 or 31 days), at times you will need to adjust your reading schedule at the end of the month. You might read a "double set" of chapters at the end of shorter months, and when the months have 31 days, you will not have a set of Psalms to read on the 31st day.
Following this reading plan will allow you to gain wisdom that you can apply to your life.
CONFESSIONS
Verbal confession brings great results! Make these confessions as often as you can.
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit."
Romans 10:9-10 (NLT) "9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."
In the name of Jesus, I declare that I cultivate temperance by subjecting my mind and body to God’s Word. I cast down every negative thought about my appearance that attempts to exalt itself against the knowledge of God and His will for my life. I exhibit self-control, diligence, wisdom and patience regarding what I eat and my exercise regimen. I put to death the unhealthy desires of my flesh. Pain cannot dwell in my body because Jesus bore all my pain. I receive my healing from all sickness and disease because of the stripes of Jesus. I embrace godly thinking as it pertains to taking care of the body He gave me. I will honor the Lord with my body and take proper care of it. I am fearfully and wonderfully made and I give God glory in and through my physical body. AMEN
I thank you God that I have complete knowledge of your will as well as spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I live according to Your will for me and I always seek to honor and please You. Lord, My life produces every kind of good fruit. I am growing and learning to know You better and better. I am strengthened by Your glorious power and I have all the endurance and patience I need. I am filled with joy this year and am always thankful. You have blessed me with many spiritual blessings and for that I rejoice. You have rescued me from the kingdom of darkness and transferred me into Your Kingdom. My freedom from sin, sickness and disease has been purchased and I accept Your forgiveness of my sins. I am continually being cleansed from all of the evil desires associated with my old evil nature. I am yielded to Your Spirit. I am justified and made righteous, just as if I’d never sinned. I receive Your mercies every day. I am sanctified, made holy and set apart for You in this year and for the rest of my life. AMEN

Father, I declare and decree that in my biological family and my spiritual family, we have your favor on our lives. I thank you for causing us to increase more and more and prosper in every way especially in this current year. Every member of my family is blessed and highly-favored by you oh God. I am skillful and wise, and I shall stand before “great” people to share my faith. Like Jesus, I increase in wisdom, stature and favor with God and men. I thank you Lord, for blessing my family to be a blessing to other families. The devil has no place in our family, our home or anything that belongs to us. All generational curses have ended in our family because of the blood of Jesus. Our family is divinely protected to show the world what godliness looks like. I, as well as every member of my family, am whole, happy and free to do Your will for us. Thank you for the good plan that you have for each of us to give us a great future and to help us to always remain hopeful. Thank you for my godly family. AMEN
Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Jesus has delivered me from poverty and lack. He has given me wealth and the ability to create generational wealth. I receive the promise that favor and earthly blessings come to me in abundance. Therefore, I always possess enough and require no aid or support. I am furnished in abundance to sow into every good work. My generosity will bring forth the blessings of the Lord over my finances. Thank you God for giving me good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over blessings. People give to me—all the time. All of my financial needs are met. I have no debt and I walk in complete financial integrity. I do not lack any good thing, for you my God supply all of my need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. AMEN
